Very disappointing. Shabby older buildings, unfriendly reception. Rooms were ok, especially the bathroom, although the bed cover was stained. The breakfast was pathetic. We were there early and found very little to eat, but even these meagre rations were not replenished. The lights in the breakfast room were turned off, so we sat in a dull gloom. I'm not sure if the lights were off to save electricity or out of shame for such a poor breakfast. Coffee and juices were vile but maybe could be used to strip paint with.
I'm concerned by the defensive response! As I said the rooms were ok especially the bathroom. They had a strong smell of air freshner, so must be cleaned but most nice hotels don't have a strong smell of anything! The lights were all off, we sat in the gloom with very little to eat, that's the reality. Look I only bother leaving a review to help other travellers and I absolutely would not recommend this place. There are far nicer hotels we stayed in the area for the same price point. Nothing exaggerated it is what it is. Poor breakfast, OK rooms, older structure. Bathroom in the room is very new. Aircon good. Wifi not functioning at all, anywhere. Anyway, I suggest rather than trying to deny guest reviews as untrue they listen to feedback and improve!
The room was great, however our room was way back from the Bar. Usually the party was until 1am, so I think it could have been disturbing for those who had a room near to the bar. Also the breakfast was for 1,5 hour in the morning ca 8AM-9.30AM, Which I Thoma could be longer.
The breakfast and the dinner could be improved, espsecially the coffe. The staff was nice and kind, so I would recommend this place, but maybe not half Pension.
Sufficient, but not impressed.
Stayed here with my family for a week, and were a little concerned with the sub-par reviews about this place. A huge pro was the beach - definitely the saving grace. Food selection not extensive, but quality was good. The WI-FI hardly works. Tip - when it does work (about 50% of the time) the signal is strongest in the outdoor eating area. The walk to the beach is pretty long - just under a mile (longer/shorter depending on where your room is). It feels a lot longer under the hot afternoon sun. However, the beach is accessible by car, (still have to walk a good bit to get to the umbrellas) but parking isn’t always guaranteed. The service was good, our rooms were cleaned daily and most of the waiters at the restaurant were kind. One last thing - in Italy is is common for places like this to have “animatori”, which translates to “animators” - basically a group of people who are supposed to entertain kids and adults. Usually, they have lots of beach/pool games and activities and are generally kind, outgoing and engaging people. The ones here were fine for little kids, but not engaging for adults/teens. In fact, one of them even spoke poorly about their job to us. To reiterate, the beach was wonderful. But would I recommend this place to a friend? No.
Walking distance from a long beach, good for walking and admire kite-surfers in the windy days. Not marvelous as other smaller beaches, as there are always algues on the seashore, and could not see any fish, but water seems clean anyway. …
